ABOUT THE JOB
Responsibilities
Design and lead the platform architecture and implementation.
Work with AI-assisted tools to increase development speed and quality.Develop core features across Next.js, TypeScript, React, C#, .NET 9 and GraphQL.
Extend our backend including authentication, SSO, admin portal and real-time chat.Collaborate closely with founders, product and a remote engineering team. mid-level developers.
Requirements
Strong experience with C# and .NET
Strong experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript
Experience with Kubernetes or k3s
Experience with Postgres (pgbouncer is a plus)
Solid understanding of software architecture and system design
Comfortable working across backend and frontend
Experience with or openness to GraphQL
Proven ability to build scalable web applications
Hands-on mindset with strong ownership
Comfortable working independently and driving development
Interest in AI-assisted development workflows
Preferred Qualifications
Strong experience with Next.js and TypeScript.
Strong experience with C# and .NET.Experience with Kubernetes or k3s and Postgres.
Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
Hands-on mindset with the ability to drive development independently

Senior DevOps Engineer

About THE role
Virtual Days Virtual Days is looking for a senior DevOps engineer to ensure stability, scalability and reliability across our platform, with a particular focus on delivering high-traffic live events.
This is a remote-first, part-time role suited for an experienced DevOps professional who values clear responsibility, hands-on work and well-planned operations. Availability during live event days is required, but these are planned well in advance.
You will work closely with our Founding Full-Stack Tech Lead and play a key role in ensuring smooth deployments, strong observability and operational excellence before, during and after live events.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure, preferably k3s
- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Design, operate and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Ensure monitoring and observability through the Grafana stack (Alloy, Loki, Prometheus, Tempo)
- Secure and stabilize deployments for high-traffic live event days
- Monitor performance, reliability and availability
- Drive automation, performance tuning and reliability improvements
- Collaborate closely with the Founding Full-Stack Tech Lead
Requirements
- Senior hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS or k3s preferred)
- Strong experience with Terraform
- Solid experience with Postgres and MySQL
- Strong understanding of monitoring, logging and observability practices
- Experience running CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Comfortable being available during scheduled live events
nice to have Requirements
- Experience with Cloudflare
- Experience supporting live or time-critical systems
- Background in startup or scale-up environments
Working Model
- Remote-first, part-time role
- Flexible workload outside live event periods
- Availability required during scheduled live event days
- Close collaboration with the Tech Lead and founders
