Thesis Opportunity: Founding Engineer

ABOUT
We are Virtual Days – powering digital recruitment events across Sweden and beyond.
Now, we’re rebuilding our platform to be AI-native and scalable from day one – and we’re looking for 1–3 exceptional students to build it with us.
For the right person, this can extend beyond the thesis into a long-term role – including the opportunity to grow into a Founding CTO position with equity.
Responsibilities
What you’ll do
- Contribute to shaping and building the next version of our platform
- Work closely with the founders on product and technical decisions
- Build features and improvements used by thousands of users
Where we are now
We already have a platform used in live events with thousands of users. We’ve also explored new directions and early prototypes using AI tools (including Lovable).
You won’t be starting from scratch – but you’ll be part of shaping what comes next.
This means:
- There’s an existing product and real-world usage
- There are ideas, experiments, and direction
- But many of the key product and technical decisions are still open
What we’re building
We’re rebuilding our platform with focus on:
- Real-time interaction (chat, video, events)
- AI-driven matching between candidates and employers
- Scalable architecture for large live events
- A fast, modern, intuitive user experience
(Tech stack is flexible – we care more about how you think and build.)
