Gorilla Capital Joins Virtual Days to Redefine Recruitment Globally
Stockholm, Sweden 2025-08-18
Virtual Days, the Swedish tech startup transforming recruitment and employer branding, has secured funding with Gorilla Capital as a new shareholder. The investment, backed by continued support from existing investors and the company’s founders, will fuel the company’s growth and development of its virtual and immersive recruitment platform.
With a team spanning eight countries, Virtual Days helps organizations attract, engage, and hire talent through large-scale virtual recruitment and employer branding events. Its flagship, Virtual Career Days, is Sweden’s largest virtual career fair, connecting over 300,000 students and graduates nationwide with leading employers such as PwC, SCA and the Swedish Armed Forces.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Gorilla Capital as our partner on this journey. Virtual Recruitment – Human Connection. That’s been our north star from day one: a scalable platform that keeps people at the center. With Gorilla Capital—and the continued support of our existing investors—we’re taking measured steps in international expansion, building on the traction we already have in Sweden.”, said Mattias Säker and Lina Högemark, Co-founders of Virtual Days.
Gorilla Capital, a Helsinki-based “Nordic institutional super angel”, is one of the most active early-stage investors in the Nordics and Baltics. They back resilient, capital-efficient startups with real customer demand—what they call “camels”—built for sustainable, scalable growth. This philosophy aligns with Virtual Days’ agile, impact-driven approach to transforming recruitment.
Gorilla Capital Partner Petter Hattenbach adds:
“Virtual Days puts recruitment where candidates already are—online—while keeping the experience human. The team has built pragmatically, close to customers, and shown early proof with Virtual Career Days. That camel-like approach is exactly what we back: real use, real customers, step-by-step expansion.”
